The relationship between the two powers has huge implications for the world China's President Xi Jinping and Russia's President Vladimir Putin shake a similar strategic partnership to undermine American supremacy. "The Chinese side has come (to Moscow) to show Americans the close ties between the armed forces of China and Russia we've come to. Ties between Russia and China have vastly expanded to include energy Jon Huntsman, the US ambassador to Moscow, said on Friday that.
Roosevelt demanded an apology and compensation from the Japanese, which was received, but relations between the two countries continued to deteriorate. The Roosevelt administration gave massive amounts of aid to Chiang's beleaguered government, now headquartered in Chungking. Congress amended the Chinese Exclusion Act and Roosevelt moved to end the unequal treaties by establishing the Treaty for Relinquishment of Extraterritorial Rights in China. However, the perception that Chiang's government was unable to effectively resist the Japanese or that he preferred to focus more on defeating the Communists grew.
China Hands such as Joseph "Vinegar Joe" Stilwell —who spoke fluent Mandarin Chinese—argued that it was in American interest to establish communication with the Communists to prepare for a land-based counteroffensive invasion of Japan.
The Dixie Missionwhich began inwas the first official American contact with the Communists. Other Americans, such as Claire Lee Chennaultargued for air power and supported Chiang's position.

American general George Marshall spent most of the years in China trying to broker a truce between the Republic of China and the Communist Party of China inbut he failed. Such a dissipation of U. Mao Zedong established the People's Republic of China in mainland China, while Taiwan and other islands are still regarded by China as being under the Republic of China rule to this day, although Taiwan considers itself to be independent.

Formosa may be said to be a territory or an area occupied and administered by the Government of the Republic of China, but is not officially recognized as being a part of the Republic of China.

Sun Li-jen opposed this action. Many foreign observers spread myths about Russian-Chinese relations in an attempt to bring the two into conflict or else deny the reality of their rapprochement.
The two countries also have internal detractors. Most naysayers in Russia belong to the political opposition — whether pro-Westerners who view China as a hostile communist dictatorship or arch-conservatives who consider all foreign powers inimical. In China, they are either pro-Western advocates of liberalism or nationalists who consider Russia a weak state that should now be punished for the way its tsarist regime once humiliated China. These forces are still marginal in both countries, however, and play no significant role.
The most common of these myths suggest China is expanding demographically into Eastern Russia, the two countries are at odds in Central Asia, and Beijing is trying to intimidate Moscow with its disproportionate economic might.
None of these is true. US policy for the region has the potential to breed the same sort of chaos as it did in Libya and Iraq. Of course, Russia finds the growing economic imbalance with China unpleasant and knows that it must work quickly to spur its own economic growth. But even if that gap continues to widen, it does not automatically increase the threat from China.

This trend will continue, thanks in large part to the extremely hostile approach the US has taken towards both countries.
The US has long been accustomed to profiting from its global economic dominance, but its influence is declining, even as the relative influence of other centres of power, including Russia and China, is growing. They now conduct joint military exercises from the Sea of Japan to the Mediterranean. For decades, Russia resisted selling its most advanced military equipment to China but not anymore.
Vladimir Putin says Russia has tested an array of new strategic nuclear weapons. ABC News "If we look back 15 years the Russians only provided second or third-grade military hardware to China but today Russia is providing top-grade military technology and equipment. This is indicative of a strategic shift on the Russian side," Professor Nagy said. In the longer term Russia may have more to fear from a rising aggressive China, but for now, Professor Nagy said the two acting in unison was an effective way to confront the US without leading to direct conflict.
The Soviet Union's downfall only took 20 years from there.
