Her development as a leader comes from her experiences with the previous senior classes on the team and she has done her part to keep this tight-knit group on track despite losing a stellar graduating class from last season. It's nice having a second family here because I definitely feel like I could sit down one-on-one with anyone on this team and have a good conversation and I think that's definitely rare.
She has since added seven all-conference honors to her name, including a first team award with her third consecutive bronze medal finish in the 1, freestyle in as many seasons. The distance freestyle specialist has been a key component of the Lumberjacks' distance team as a member of last season's NAU podium sweep in the mile, but she has shown her versatility swimming every event from the to the 1, free along with the fly, in which she won the B final as a freshman.
I just wanted to have fun and see what I could do and it ended up being a fun and awesome year for me. For the senior from Tucson, Ariz.State Swim Meet
I feel like I've become more independent and I've figured out what works for me with school and swimming. It's been a great experience and NAU Athletics has taught me incredible lessons because the college atmosphere is so different from the club swimming atmosphere.
The team camaraderie is unmistakable when you see the Lumberjacks come together during a meet despite what some might view as a very individual sport.

It is this closeness that keeps the program afloat and in contention for a conference championship year in and year out. No matter what, these are friends I'll have for the rest of my life.
When you win a championship, being able to experience it and seeing everyone happy, I'll remember that for the rest of my life.
It was really something to see us all come together and support each other.

We all got the job done and everyone stepped up and that's amazing. There are still meets to compete with and most importantly, a WAC Championship to defend. With these three seniors, who occupy eight top five spots in the school's all-time record books, leading the way in their own distinct ways, the Lumberjacks are in good hands when the end of February comes around and the conference's teams converge in San Antonio, Texas.
Regardless of how this season ends, this senior class will have left their mark on the program, just as each senior class before them has. After all, not everyone can say they were part of the school's first WAC title team and that is a memory that will last a lifetime.
She is the top overall seed in four events. Bray, from the Virginia Gators, adds the yard backstroke top seed to owning the butterfly events entering the meet.
The Arizona State signee leads the 50 and butterfly, the 50 and backstroke, and the freestyle.
He also sits fourth entering the freestyle. The year-old enters the meet with the top spot in the and IM.
She sits in the top four in two additional races. Katzer is an overwhelming favorite in the IM but will likely have a race on her hands with Muzzy in the IM. She also leads the 50 breaststroke. Michael Burris, from Snow Swimming, is the top seed in the 50 and breaststrokes.
The top-seeded swimmers are ranked highly in most other events they are swimming. All five relay events will be competed with the addition of a mixed medley relay, similar to how the Olympics will be adding that in the future. Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics and the Virginia Gators are set to dominate the relay events, creating an exciting competition between the two.
The Virginia Gators are seeded to win nine relay events, while Palo Alto enters at the top in eight. Awards will be given at the championships' conclusion to the overall team winner as well as gender-specific team awards.
